Meet the team
Small but mighty, the Cooperative Business NZ team work closely with one another, the Board, our members and wider stakeholder groups to ensure the successful delivery of our services and initiatives year round.
We work in a hybrid environment and travel throughout New Zealand when required to meet with members and stakeholder groups, and for events and programmes.
Saya Wahrlich
Chief Executive Officer
Saya Wahrlich was appointed Chief Executive Officer in February 2024.
Saya is passionate about businesses making a positive impact on New Zealand.
She is an experienced executive leader in organisations spanning not-for-profit, Government, tech export and high growth, listed and private multinationals and brings her experience supporting hundreds of Kiwi businesses spanning many sectors to now be a champion for co-operatives and mutuals in New Zealand.
Claudia Parker
Marketing and Communications Advisor
Claudia looks after communications and marketing, raising awareness of the organisation, our members and the co-operative model.
She has over six years of experience in marketing and communication roles across various industries, including the FMCG and travel industry.

Finance Administrator
Anna looks after all things finance and accounts. She also assists the team with project management, IT and marketing strategy.
