As we approach the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives, these new additions bring fresh perspectives and robust experience that will guide our organisation in continuing to champion cooperatives and member-owned businesses in New Zealand.
Welcoming Simon Scott and Dan Meiklejohn
Simon Scott, currently leading First Credit Union, comes with a wealth of experience in financial services. His insights on regulatory issues relating to member-owned financial services organisations will help ensure that Cooperative Business NZ can advocate for fit-for-purpose regulations and financial models that empower communities through accessible and equitable financial services.
Dan Meiklejohn, Independent Chair of The Independent Optometry Group, brings unique strengths in strategic thinking, building sustainable businesses, business models and culture development. His strong FMCG perspective and background and his ability to use data and feedback to strengthen relationships will be invaluable to creating future value for members.
