Sector Snapshot: A high-level industry update exploring the latest challenges and trends impacting the rural landscape.

The Lifecycle of a Farm Debt Mediation: A first-hand look at mediation from a farmers perspective and initial reactions, the role of stakeholders, the mediators pastoral approach, the experience on the day. They will also discuss the psychology of stress from the farmer’s perspective, and the challenges farmers face at the cold hard reality of farm debt mediation. Presented by Guy Polson and Matt Davidson of Tavendale + Partners.

Conciliation in Action: A panel discussion with experienced conciliators, lawyers, and advocates, breaking down how the process works in practice. Panellists include Penny Mudford, Roy Johnson, and Kim Robinson facilitated by Mark Copeland.

Industry Insights: An overview of key trends shaping rural dispute resolution, including shifts in enforcement vs mediation, the rise of multi-party mediations, emerging case patterns, and more.
