Webinar: Understanding cyber risk in your business
Webinar: Understanding cyber risk in your business
Cooperative Business NZ members Southern Cross Health Society and Cyclone, and global threat expert Fortinet will discuss how businesses face an ever-expanding range of cyber threats that can pose significant financial and reputational damage if not addressed.
- The rapid rise of AI powered tools has made it harder than ever for employees to identify sophisticated attacks designed to steal data or access corporate networks.
- Research from the National Cyber Security Centre, part of New Zealand’s Government Security Bureau (GCSB), shows small and medium sized businesses have a one in three chance of being the target of a cyber-attack.
- A recent threat report by Gen has revealed a 46% increase in global cyberattacks during the second quarter of 2024, with New Zealand among the countries most impacted by financial scams.
- The recent Crowdstrike and Microsoft Azure outages highlighted vulnerabilities for businesses of all sizes.
In this webinar we’ll learn from Southern Cross Acting Chief Digital Officer, Colin James; Cyclone’s Technology Strategist, Sam McNeill and Fortinet’s Principal Cyber Security Strategist, Josh Alcock. They will discuss some of the key attack vectors commonly used to exploit businesses and share in an easy-to-follow way the best strategies to combat these attacks and build a robust defence against cyber-attacks, no matter the size of your business or your familiarity with cyber security.
