Cooperative Business New Zealand has expanded its governance training offering for 2021, with courses for aspiring directors through to experienced governors and chairs.
Cooperative Business New Zealand CEO Roz Henry says providing training that is specifically tailored to co-operative governance is a core priority.
"Many of New Zealand's largest, most successful commercial businesses are co-operatives. While there are similarities to other business structures, there are nuances and complexities of co-operatives that present challenges and opportunities for boards.
"The courses we offer, in partnership with leading governance trainers, address these issues and help directors to be able to more effectively contribute to their board.
"With shareholder directors, succession planning is also critical and so in 2021 we're providing more training for new directors and those considering taking on a governance role in future,” Roz says.
An outline of the courses offered is below.
