Canadian Monique Leroux, pictured left, was elected as the new President of the International Co-operative Alliance.
Ms Leroux was one of four candidates in the presidential race. She is Chief Executive and Chair of Desjardins Group, a federation of 376 credit unions and other groups serving seven million members in Canada and operating in 40 other countries. Read more
Retiring ICA President, Englishwoman Dame Pauline Green, pictured left, was presented with the 2015 Rochdale Pioneers Award – the highest honour that the Alliance bestows.
The purpose of the Award is to recognise an individual who has contributed to innovative and financially sustainable co-operative activities that have significantly benefited co-operative members. Read more
