We’d love to see you at this Advanced Governance 2-Day Executive Workshop! Delivered by Mayfield Group, attendees will gain a wealth of knowledge and experience understanding the nuances and opportunities of co-operative governance.
The programme is suited for aspiring, new and existing directors. However, this is an advanced workshop and assumes a certain level of understanding of governance and co-operative governance. If you are completely new to the world of co-operative governance, we suggest touching base with us to attend one of our other introductory workshops instead.
Across the two days, attendees will participate in a series of interactive exercises and case studies to enhance the role governance plays within co-operatives, boardroom best practice, understanding shareholders, strategic planning, risk management and more.
Programme content includes
• An overview of governance in the cooperative landscape, including differences between governance, management and representation• Member, owner and shareholder nuances of cooperatives• Strategy, purpose and foresight and the tools to develop these• Risk governance, appetite and tolerance• Stakeholder engagement including application of Te tiriti o Waitangi• Leadership around the board table, including role of the chair and CEO• Effective board functions including minutes, work plans and agendas etc
Your trainer
Lynda Carroll
Lynda has 25 year’s governance experience, including chair and deputy chair roles. Combined with 30 years experience working with Boards, CEO’s and senior management aligning strategy, governance, culture and performance. Lynda is joined by Jo Guy from Mayfield Group.
