The Co-op Futures Scholarship is a professional development scholarship focused on supporting current and next generation cooperative and mutual leaders.
In 2026 two scholarships of $2,000 are available to employees and shareholder-members of Cooperative Business NZ Full Members.
Scholarships may be used towards professional development opportunities, including:
international or local course fees
international or local conference fees
international or local study tour fees
and to offset associated travel and accommodation costs.
Applications open Wednesday 1 July 2026 and close Friday 14 August 2026.
About the scholarships
The scholarships have made possible through the generous support of our partner Brannigans, which contributes $1,000 to the Co-op Futures Scholarship programme for every permanent or governance recruitment placement made with a Cooperative Business NZ Full Member.
We particularly value the circular nature of this initiative support generated through our sector is reinvested back into our sector, helping develop the people who will lead, govern and strengthen cooperative and mutual businesses in the years ahead.
